It is possible, but is up to the owner whether they do it.

The invoice is sent by the villa owner via PayPal. I pay the bill in dollars using a Halifax Clarity Credit Card as the exchange rate it offers is close to as good as it gets and there is no other fee.

I don’t have and refuse to use PayPal. I cannot see any benefit to me.
I Bank with one Bank and have done for over 54 years and use a large number of Credit Cards. Job done. I don’t need some PayPal thingy whatever it is.

If you pay Via PayPal you can actually loose Section 75 "https://inews.co.uk/inews-lifestyle/money/does-using-paypal-to-pay-online-affect-my-section-75-rights-1133765"

It would be up to the financial provider and you are protected more then paying via bank transfer (as they have PayPal protection)

Like any purchase I make that is a substantial amount if they don’t accept a credit card I go elsewhere. We are nearly in 2024 not 1975!
