Feb 21 trip
So we have decided to not go on our trip booked with VH in Feb and just lose the deposit. Do we need to inform them?

You will need to yes, otherwise the full payment becomes due.
I would wait until just before the payment date, see how it is and ask them to extend the payment date. You may well get to the point where they cancel before you have to pay and that way you would be due a refund. |
