My trip was actually booked with Pillinger travel but you can go onto continental website and do multi city or stay and it allows you to do this too

I really must get my last day written up LOL

I can't find an option for "multi city or stay", am I missing something?

was continental.com but they've now become united so try this one

then where you see the flight, round trip, one way or multi city, you can put it in there if you select multi city. The layover in NYC can be a few hours or a few days . . .it doesnt matter and you dont pay separate for the internal flights
