Yes and you can put full size toiletries in too rather than 10x 100ml limit x

That would be great - but can you?
Because you still need to take it through security, you can't drop it at check in desk.

Edit - I'd read this yesterday on their FB page, someone asking if you could check in your second hand luggage at check-in desk but Ryanair said no, it has to go with you to the gate.

Be good if what you say is true though!

If the bag is taken off you at the boarding gate will you not have already gone through security ? I have just gone on to see how much a checked case would be for our trip to Tenerife and it was £50 each way ! Cheaper to buy toiletries there or buy from the airport shop.

it would be good if they took it off you at check in but I don't trust Ryanair, Only using them because they were so cheap ! If all 4 of us booked a hold case added with the seat choice the extras would come to more than the flight !

I refuse to fly Ryanair and if it means I can't go somewhere, tough. I've not flown with them for approx 15 - 16 years and can't say I've missed out on anything. There is nothing wrong with keeping costs down, it's the underhand way they do it I object to.

I try to use alternatives if I can help it but sometimes the price difference is just too great (I'm talking trips home here not holidays).

I always price seat selection and cabin bags into the cost before booking so the overall price is comparable.

People are complaining that their flight is no longer 20 quid but 60 quid once they add a bag on but don't say anything about BA charging double the price for the same route.

We flew back from Gran Canaria this morning.
There were 5 of us,all on row 21,when our boarding passes were scanned,3 of us bleeped & we were informed, that our cases had to go in the hold.
No hassle for any of us & betime we all went to the toilet on landing, the cases were on the belt.
The overhead lockers were jam packed,so it saved time on board, with people having no where,to put their cabin bags.

They have been taking cases off people and putting them in the hold for a few years now, normally staff start at the end of the queue. You just put it on a cage at the aircraft.
Nothing has really changed, apart from everyone will have to do it unless you buy priority boarding, which they are not forcing anyone to do.

Son flew with them last week to Prague. It was a complete pain trying to get a bag which worked as their sizes are smaller than other airlines. Eventually a neighbour gave him a bag as they had successfully used it with Ryanair before.

I do see that under their new rules the bags onboard cant now have wheels either. Try finding a cabin bag which doesn't have wheels. Of course Ryanair will sell you one.
