Indeed, in fact it's LESS work for them for the same money earned. If I owned a hotel and had it booked up with people who paid full price and never turned up I'd be delighted!

I have just booked 4 Disney tickets that include free bands so we don’t even need the throwaway ones now!

Can I check in online and not bother going to the site? I don’t need the bands just the 60 day FastPass and 2 days free parking!

Will the free parking link to the bands I get with the tickets? I hopefully won’t even need to go to the campsite!

If it was me, because I love the magicbands, I’d still get the on-site ones, then everyone can choose two colours and interchange them

Thank you.

I've done the booking for next year. I can see that the campsites are exempt for the parking charges, but I am not confident that will let us transfer the parking when we move to one of the parks. I have a feeling it will only let us park at the campsite free, and still charge us for taking the car to the parks.

Highly unlikely you'll be charged at the parks. On-site residents still have free parking at the parks. The only reason that the campsites are exempt is that, for the vast majority, in order to use the campsite you have to have transport of some sort, be it car, camper van or RV. If they had implemented parking charges there it's effectively a price increase for everyone, whereas with the normal hotels, although a source of revenue, I have no doubt that the main reason was to try and keep people on-site more and therefore spending in WDW not on off-site restaurants etc

Yes, you can just check in and the free parking will automatically be on your tickets/magic bands.
