I thought that , until I discovered I could in the bar inside in the mornings where they served continental breakfast ,at least for coffee. In fact though staying on the Inn side it’s a shorter walk to get a refill than it is from your room to the drinks machines in many of the more sprawling resorts anyway.
I like the fact there aren’t restaurants within the hotel itself as it seriously reduces “visitor footfall” making it feel quieter and more “private”. |

Sure, many times and it’s a lovely resort. I’ve never been able to stomach the excessive Xmas and NYE rates though, and ended up at Swolphin for much less than half the Boardwalk room rate (from memory £180 vs £450 per night)

I'm really thinking of Boardwalk Villas for Oct 2021. I've looked at all resorts and this seems to suit us best. It just seems to have a bit of an odd vibe. I can't quite put my finger on it. I wonder what it is?

We have recently come back from 2 nights at BWV. We loved the resort. It was very chilled vibe, wish we could of stayed longer. It was great for option of walking to HS and Epcot. And the boat (get it from swan and dolphin as its a lot quicker!)
Our favourite moment was boating back from HS star wars fireworks, to sit on our balcony with gorgeous wine and relax watching the Epcot fireworks at 9pm. We then wondered on down to the boardwalk minus kids (chill, they are almost adults and glued to their devices in the room anyway..) to have another drink, watch the world go by and then grab pizzas (realluy yummy) and the most delicious cakes i've even had (and i've had more than a few in my time...) from the bakery and head back to the balcony. The pool was good, I even did the water ride! The relaxed pool with the club house was good. Daughter spent time in their drawing. They did loads of activities there. So jeslous of you! |

We love it. It does have a different vibe to other hotels as it has the Boardwalk outside which gives it a lovely holiday feel. I love walking around and seeing everyone enjoying their holiday. It’s very relaxed as people are just wandering and soaking up the atmosphere. There are few places in WDW that are relaxed in the same way.

I think you’re right. Boardwalk definitely has a different feel to it than other resorts. We were just disappointed that we were only there for a week as I don’t think we got the chance to explore the resort properly.
