Good choice 👌

Can I ask if you have got insurance in advance of going? I'm actually looking at going in two weeks as well, in the hopes that it won't be cancelled.

I'm not used to organising so last minute and I feel a bit overwhelmed!

I know the feeling - I normally have everything planned a year in advance!

My Natwest insurance did start to cover a bit more, but I bought a single-trip policy from Staysure which was much more comprehensive in covering Covid-related things. It wasn't at all expensive and worth it for the extra cover and piece of mind. I bought it after I booked the trip.

Thank you! I actually checked there earlier, but I’m finding it a bit hard to understand on what it covers.

Am I right in saying that all we need to do for travel to Italy is fill in the self declaration form and carry it with us, rather than submitting anything online?

I believe that's the case, yes. It's what I'm doing anyway!

Have you booked any activities or anything in advance, or just the flights and hotel?

I feel like I don’t know how organised to be if we do decide to go haha. Normally I’d have everything planned out, but just seems so difficult to know this time!

Only booked the flights and hotel (as a package via TUI). We will book a Capri excursion before we go that we’ve found and want to do but will see what the hotel concierge can offer when we get there for everything else. Can always book stuff on phone/iPad if nothing suitable is available.

Sounds good! I've just went ahead and booked our flights and I'm a mixture of emotions - excitement and nerves. I've never booked a trip this close in my life.

Please let me know how you get on so I can hopefully figure out what to expect

Turns out we did actually get given a sea view room anyway!

It’s so amazing here. Already talking about coming back!
