Would you not consider doing it next year? If you book it earlier you should get the flights cheaper and the exchange rate may be better too.

Do you want to fly direct or do you not mind flying indirect?
also with your Las Vegas hotel do you really want to be on the strip or would you consider somewhere close to the strip?

I just did a little research for you and managed to find these prices -

Staybridge suites Anaheim 5 nights - $850 (1 bdroom suite sleeps upto 6) - booking direct

Holiday inn San Diego bayside 7 nights - $1331 (2 queen beds sleeps upto 5) - booking direct

I had no luck with Vegas hotels as they all say they sleep max 4 people

Virgin flights London - LA July 21st - Aug 6th £2812 with virginatlantic or £2742 with destinology

or you can fly indirect with Continental for £2626

Well... I've managed to find:

Flights LGW to LAX via Philidelphia (3 hr stop) and return Las Vegas to LGW via Charlotte (1 1/2 hr stop) - opodo.com £2362

5 nights Staybridge Suites £602 - or Anaheim Fairfield (5 min walk from DL) £460 (hotels.com)

Bahia Resort - expensive! $2084 (£1420) (hotel website)

Luxor £233 (inc $25 per night food voucher!) (hotels.com) Agree they say 4 - but mention roll away - check with hotel?

So - £4617 or £4475 ... without a car!

Ooh well done those flight prices are good.
I notices the Bahia resort was expensive too, so looked at other options they are plenty on Holiday Inn website for around $140-$200 per night

Booking direct with Luxor i found 2 queen bed room for $207 for 4 nights and you also get

• $30.00 Food Dining Credit for Tender our Steakhouse Restaurant*
• 2 for 1 Lunch Buffet at MORE*
• 2 for 1 Admission to Nurture SPA at Luxor*

However they dont say they have sofa bed's so i'd check otherwise may need 2 rooms? for $414
