I havent done anything else yet apart from change from a hotel in Rome to a private apartment near Piazza Navona Just waiting for the tickets to come out for the friday evening Vatican museum and also for Doges palace when we are in Venice. Not quite sure what we're going to do when we are in Lake Garda . . .lots of relaxation and boats on the lake LOL |

Can't believe there's only 44 days left . . .
Finally got around to booking the tickets for the Night Under the stars at the Vatican, we are there on a friday and during may/june/july they open up for evening visits so thought it would be quieter and be enough for us, and something to do in the evening . . Also been waiting for the Colosseum to re-open their underground/3rd tier tours which they did this week, so we've finally booked that for our first full day too As it is, nothing else planned, trying to get some euros sorted and still trying to debate whether I do want to leave a day early from the lake and spend it in Venice, or whether the half day, full day and a half day til lunch time will be enough . . . oh decisions decisions . . . |

Oh Karen - you are going to my favourite places - we love Italy so much - you will have such an amazing time !
Rome is pretty easy to explore and so much to see - Venice is really kooky - very busy - see if you can fnd the smalled McDonalds in the world - its well tucked away and totally manic ! Our kids loved the gondola ride Lake Garda is so beautiful - we stayed near Lasize and Sirmione - both pretty places, lots of cobbled streets to explore. We never got to Gardaland ( kids were too small at the time)- Your PTR brings back such happy memories - I hope you have the most FAB time - and the Italian trains are brill - we took one from Pisa to Florence - cheap as chips, clean and on time - puts our network to shame Cant wait to read more x
