Mobile Not to be missed in New York?

I'm heading to new york at the end of November. Wondering what people would recommend as must see attractions? Want to fit as much as we can into 5 days. Cheers in advance.

Well there's always the standard list of NY attractions - including but not limited to central park, Rockefeller centre, fifth avenue, grand central station, Times square, the 9/11 memorial and one world observatory, empire state building, various museums... There's lots and lots to do and see, we were there for 6 days and definitely didn't manage to see everything we wanted to...

I've just typed a big reply but lost wifi when sending it. But here's my list of things not to be missed:
Top of the Rock
Top of Empire State Building (Express pass it to avoid the queues)
Times Square
Brooklyn Bridge walk
Staten Island Ferry (free- to see Statue of Liberty)
Central Park, walks and ice skating
5th Avenue shops
Macy's
South Street Sea Port
9/11 memorial
Tick Tock Diner breakfast
Tao restaurant
Ferry across the Hudson to Port Imperial to see the views of Manhattan

I could go on, but we do these things every time we go, next time I want to fit in the observation deck at the new World Trade Centre Freedom Tower and the High Line Park.

My biggest tip is to try and plan your days into where the attractions are, for example do 9/11 memorial, Staten Island Ferry and Brooklyn Bridge in one day as they're all down town. Times Square, Macy's Empire State Building are all Mid town, and so on. It saves time and travelling.

I really liked my guide book - Everyman guide to New York. They have sections on areas with maps that you can lift up and you can easily see "sections" as Surfhunney suggests. We were only there for 4 nights but we did tons. Was a bit of a military mission mind!

My tips - do Empire State by day and Top of the Rock by night - the reason being that you can see ESB (and Liberty) illuminated from TotR.

Buy good shoes to walk in! Seriously that should be the top tip!

If you have time - go to Central Park (day time) and seek out the saxophone player. There's YT footage - we loved it.

My highlight was Grand Central Station - it was exactly how I'd pictured it from all the films - sitting in the Oyster Bar with their twinkly lights and mass of tiles and hustle and bustle - definitely go there!

Our faves were ESB (at night) TOTR (during the day), Chelsea Markets, Highline, Central Park & just wondering aimlessly seeing where we found ourselves.

Wicked was amazing if you're looking for a show
