Which Caribbean Island would you go to?

Just day dreaming a bit and I'm wondering which Caribbean Island I'd like to go to. I did look at Barbados last year but there didn't seem to much for us to do there, I like sunbathing but DH gets bored and he doesn't like golf. We both enjoy watching wildlife but I was put off Turtle Beach by the photos on tripadvisor, it seemed very crowded and there were lots of people touching the turtles and star fish which I worry may distress them . So I'm dreaming of another Island which offers good food, sunshine and wildlife, anyone got any suggestions? .

I have only a limited amount of experience, as we were on a cruise. So only a day in each port!

Mexico- loved it, beautiful sea, beaches & people

Jamacia- wouldn't go back but glad we have been! We didn't feel safe.

Bahamas- absolutely paradise! Admittedly it was a private island but it blew me away! I could quite happily live the rest of my days there never seen sea like that before. I would rent a villa on one of the quiet islands if I were to have a full holiday there.

We are going on another cruise in September around the Eastern Caribbean, going to...

The British Virgin Islands
American Virgin Islands
Bahamas but Nassau this time.

I love the look of Turks and Caios, st Lucia & st Kitts. Our next cruise is probably going to be a longer southern cruise.

A cruise might be just what you are looking for

We are visiting Totola in September during our cruise, what do you recommend to do during our stop?! We will have dd (11) with us and are there from 7am until 3pm.

Sorry for jumping on your thread!

For us it's Jamaica , we love it. Been going yearly now for about 10 years. Yes some parts Ie Montego Bay, and Kingston we avoid but as for the rest of the island , you get warm friendly people, beautiful beaches and top class hotels, and a fun party atmosphere . Btw we are approaching seventy this year and need a bit of life ! . Love to lay and read, join in the games and eat great food.

I think it would be Aruba for me. Outside of the hurricane belt and looks amazing. Think I'd be bored after a few days though.

I got married in Aruba - lovely place. would love to take my dd there. It's fairly quiet but worth a visit for sure.

Antigua for me. Loved it. We found Barbados too commercialised for our tastes but Antigua was beautiful and the people were so friendly.

For me, I love Jamaica, amazing seven mile beach in Negril, best beach ever! Couples Swept Away was a great hotel. We also love Mexico, great resorts there too. Wouldn't go back to Cuba, not as good as other caribbean resorts.
