We found the guides to be very knowledgable which was great. They stop at all the major sights so it's great to get off for a mooch.
Our second day we used the downtown bus to get to Statue cruises and it drops you right on Battery Park so a five minute walk to the river.
The water taxi is also great to do a loop tour for sight seeing and is the only one that does stops we used this to get off at 9/11 then got back on and enjoyed the sights.
That's great, thank you, it sounds like it will be ideal for us.

It's sounds like you had a brilliant trip, thank you for taking the time to share your tips.

Sounds like a fantastic trip OP. I've just booked this morning for our first trip - we're going in December for 6 nights, staying at the Waldorf Astoria

I'm not great on the food side as I ate very little due to the heat haha..one thing I would say if your up for a counter service meal at any point is Chipotle they are everywhere and the food was yummie(Mexican)
also hubby and eldest daughter went to Guy's American Kitchen & Bar
(the chap off Diners,Drive-inn and Dives) they loved it said the first was amazing.
We got the bikes in the park grounds on the corner of 8th AV it was for 3 hours so plenty of time to get round and take a break also.
I don't to trip reports but my daughter has a YouTube channel...
Hannah ODell ..we have last years Disney holiday on there and she is upto her 3rd video from this New York trip ..have a look lots of footage to come as we went for a week
