We always do twilight check-in with either BA or VS at LGW or MAN. Mainly because we always stay overnight and next morning we go straight through security.

Last November the twilight check in for BA at LGW was all self-service. You scanned your passport and it asked how many cases you were checking in. Place them on the scales as usual and the machine printed out the luggage tags which you fixed to the case handles and sent them on their way. Then it printed your boarding cards.

We must have done it right as our cases arrived safely in MCO next day.

Thank you Mick, sounds like it’s a nice easy process.

Thanks for starting this thread! We're flying out of Heathrow T5 and I didn't realise we could do twilight check-in there, so this is brilliant to find out It will really help reduce the stress of travel day, thank you

Last year doing twilight check in there was problem with the belts so we did bag drop at the first class check in.
We were the only people there and about four or five members of staff.
Done in about 5 min, very easy. We had already done online check in and had boarding cards on my phone but she printed some for us too.
It must make it easier for BA and VS in terms of loading the plane the next day.

Just wanted to add because I spoke to BA yesterday that they advised me it's open 4pm-9pm at Gatwick.
