What to get a child who hates toys

Looking for some inspiration for my 7 year old. By Christmas time will be more near 8.
He got £10 for being brave in hospital so I took him to smyths to spend it and try to get some ideas. But he wants nothing from there, either too babyish or boring (his words, not mine).

He hates any form of sport.
Hates reading (even though he is a brilliant reader, we have loads of beast quest, diary of whimpy kid etc books)
Hates any kind of figures, wrestling, fortnite etc
He has a mountain if lego and a lego table that is completely un touched.
He used to enjoy arts & crafts so has lots of stuff in our craft box but hates that now.
Hates cars, race tracks and remote control cars.

Basically he doesn’t play with anything. He likes to toy fight with my husband and his brother or play on his Nintendo.
He has loads of nintendo games but only plays on animal crossing and minecraft.
He has a x box one but doesn’t really play on that.

So apart from new pj’s and selection box, what on earth can i get him 😫😫😫

Last year he got a giant cardboard box which he loved! Plus the Nintendo.

An indoor tent?
My great nephew has one as he loves boxes, hence the tent 😉

A tablet like a I pad or kindle, or book tickets for a day out provided things are going to be open. A trampoline for summer but don’t put it up yet, a den for outside, a animal like a Hamster and cage, a musical instrument like a keyboard or drums. Or you always set up an account and put some money in it for when he wants something.

Im in same position with my 9 year old son! He loves his xbox but has everything wants for it! He has room full board games untouched, dinosaur figures he wants nothing!
Have considered a bigger tv for his bedroom. Failing that it be usual pjs, sweets, smellies!

I know thos is probably the wrong thing to say on the Christmas forum but can you just get him a selection box and then tell him you will get what he wants when he decides?

I hate the money spent on things at Christmas that people dont want be it adults or children. Could you ask him if he would like to go somewhere instead or start a hobby.

Love is not about spending money so just wait and see, if there is nothing put some money into an account until there is.

Sorry probably not much uses a reply.

Are there any things he likes that you could go down the experience route. For my dd 8th birthday we did a junior zoo keeper experience at dudley zoo which she loved. It has had a much longer lasting effect than anything else we could have given her. Good luck choosing something.

A tent is actually a fantastic idea! Especially a pop up one that can be put away or put outside etc.
Perfect thank you

Not the wrong thing to say at all. I totally agree with you. I don’t like the idea of buying for buying sake either. We are very religious so Christmas is a very special time for us it’s certainly not about the presents.
Despite him not needing/wanting anything, his little face when he see’s wrapped presents is priceless, so selfishly I want to see his face light up on Christmas morning. But with things he will use not tat that will never get used 😂

Mason is currently sat on our drive in the sun banging his sandcastle tub making music.
He has announced that he wants a drum kit 🤣
