Wheelchair Friendly Villas

Hi all,

My husband had a motorbike accident 10 weeks ago and has broken his neck. he is doing very well all things considered but will no doubt be in a wheelchair some of the time.

Do any of you know if any of the DIBB Villas are wheelchair friendly? He can transfer out of his wheelchair so hoist etc is not nessecary but flat rooms, wheel in shower etc woudl be.

I am unable to post a link but at the top of the Special Needs forum is a sticky titled 'Useful Information'. If you open this thread, the second item down is 'Dibb Villas for Special Needs' where owners who have suitable villas have posted details of what they have available and how their villas may have been adapted. Hope you find something suitable by looking there and I wish your husband all the best on his road to recovery.

Yeah he is doing well. originanly given 20% chance of surviving op and is now walking with a zimmer and regained arm movement abit slow and not much strength.

Our son is 6 and really wants to go back to florida so alothough may be a long way off just want to look at our options.
