Help re Delta site

Hi

I've booked flight on Expedia site which is a KLM flight using delta Gla-JFK-MCO. I've gone in to see if I can add on one checked bag (2 Adults 1 child) but cant see where it will allow me to do this. Its let me pick seats and not asked for a payment so not sure how that works but won't let me add baggage.

Any ideas before I email them?

We're coming back KLM (Virgin) so think we get a checked bag free with them.

I'm presuming you've booked a "hand baggage only" fare? I think with the system Virgin and Delta use you can only add a bag during online check in, which you do 24 hours before your flight. Not entirely sure though.

Ah could well be.

It says economy classic for return with Virgin which looks like a checked bag is included but the delta flight to JFK won't be. The JFK to MCO is showing as virgin on the app. Might email see if they will let me pay for one bag Gla - JFK.

If you have gone on and have your locator number Delta are excellent on twitter . Very fast.

Also suggest you fill in the section where you provide your phone details / emails to get update in your flight. This is flight time changes and gate details at JFK - for both the int and the Dom legs. That will give you a bit of a heads up as you are landing for next steps.

I like Delta, but they do switch their domestic flights around a bit timewise.

If you get a flight change notification always worth checking your seat allocation, esp if timings dont change (as it is then likely to be an equipment change and all seats will have been transferred, potentially shuffled).

I would be surprised if the domestic leg in the us is virgin. More likely to be delta connect.

Check hand luggage allowances. Delta connects weren't big when we use them.

Thanks for the heads up. Never used Delta and not finding their site very easy. We have a 16hr lay over so going to get a hotel near airport then back for 0740 flight.
Happy to travel light as we will have laundry facilities and DD will be out there already so can get toiletries etc for us.

I'm confused as to why its showing on the virgin app too.

Presumably if it is a delta plane it will be a KLM and Virgin codeshare, so it shows under the codeshare flight numbers on their websites etc?

It should say under it who it is operated by.

Definitely says Delta on way out so must just be a codeshare

Hi 8gotoWDW did you manage to find a way to add luggage to your Delta flights? I have been looking at booking a flight through their site, but it's not straight forward is it?
