Confused with BA T&C
Hi all
So I booked last week to go next May 2021. I’m now thinking I need to bring the date forward by a week as don’t want to get caught with rainy season even though we are going 08.05.20. Last year weather was perfect on this dates but thinking I should move it to 01.05.20. However I’m confused with BAs T&C. Wonder if I can move it for free, does anybody know? Apologies to those who are trying to move immediate holidays which is why I didn’t call as didn’t want to clog up phone lines, hence asking here.

April averages 4 rainy days, May 6 days. It’s not rainy season in the slightest!

In any case, terms and conditions as to changes depend on the class of ticket you buy.

As far as I can tell, the BA Book With Confidence policy, which allows fee-free changes, does not currently apply to bookings as far out as May 2021, so the change fees and terms attached to the fare/holiday booked would apply.
Just to note, even if the Book with Confidence policy did apply, it only means you can change the flights and no fees will apply, any increase in fare would be charged (and no refund if the fare is lower on new dates). As said above, at that time of year I wouldn’t bother moving the holiday by a week just to try and avoid rain, any difference is likely to be marginal and / or pot luck. |

Yes I went that time next year and we only had 2 days of rain and didn’t last too long. I’m just worried that the further on in May I go it will rain more especially with the rain they have currently got. Maybe I’m just overthinking it. I just don’t know how I can figure out the T&C

Been In mY many many times and rain has never been an issue, June on the other hand was awful.
I wouldn’t change for the sake of a week , May is a fabulous time to go in terms of weather Jules

May is not a rainy season, it will be pure pot luck whether one week is rainier than the other. I wouldn’t want the palaver of changing any travel plans at the moment unless strictly necessary. We are a quarter of the way through June now, June rainfall is typically more than double that of May.

The average rainfall in May in terms of inches of rain is twice that in April.
https://thedibb.com/when-to-visit-orlando-and-wdw/ Admittedly, there will be little-to-no difference between 1st May and 8th May. In fact, due to the fact that weather is variable, it could rain between 1st to 7th May and then be dry for 2 weeks afterwards. I personally wouldn't bother changing things by just 1 week for the sake of weather. June to September tends to be the rainy season. But the end of May can be a bit wet as well. Our visit at the end of May and beginning of June was probably our wettest visit ever due to tropical storm Beryl.

We go every late May/early June (except this year ☹️), September & Christmas.
May/June is by far the best weather; on the whole, blue skies, sunshine & heat. Edited at 05:31 PM. |
