2020 tickets
I know they’ve said we needed to pay for our Disney tickets by now or we won’t be able to go in 2020 but does anyone think this might change?
As things around the world seem to get better? |

My view (although what do it know we are all just guessing) is that they won’t change that decision. They sell so many tickets in advance and the ap holders mean plenty of people still planning to visit. They are being very cautious, can’t see them going back on this statement.:confused

I think this may change as the year goes on based on the wording of the last Disney email that was sent out but this obviously a bit of a guess!

It may change but I don’t think it will for quite a while! I’m not going until October and had an email telling me to make sure my ticket is now linked to MDE ready for when the reservation system opens. My (uneducated) guess would be they will see how fast reservations fill across the year before they think about releasing more.

We are booked for October but opted not to pay the balance on the tickets and I’m now wondering if we’ve messed up?!

If the tickets weren't paid in full and linked to mde by 10th June, they would be cancelled and deposit refunded.

We are in the same boat but i don’t think we have messed up, I’ve booked all the other parks. Disney as is is too expensive for all the bits you miss out on in my opinion. We are making the most of this trip (I’ve done Florida without Disney in 2018 and it was amazing). Save Disney for next time, because if this is your first time... trust me there will be a next time 🤪

Yes that’s a good point. We held off cos we weren’t prepared to pay without the full experience. We had a bundle ticket from attraction tickets so I guess we don’t have any tickets now 🤷🏻
Just gotta keep waiting I guess |

It will depend on how busy the parks are once they reopen and into the coming months.
If there are spaces available in the park reservation system - i.e. the park has not reached the allowed reduced capacity - then Disney will sell more tickets. If the park reservations are fully booked then they won't sell any more tickets. And I suspect it will be done on a bit of an ad hoc basis to begin with.
