How do you cook salmon fillets?

I'm attempting to broaden our eating habits and thought I'd try salmon fillets with new potatoes and veggies but DH thinks they will need a sauce of some description.
Would anyone mind sharing with me how you prepare and serve your salmon?
Many thanks

Hi there

I don't put any sauce on mine.

I put the salmon fillets in tin foil, drizzle a little oil over it with some salt and pepper and cook them in the oven for 15 - 20 minutes and its lovely. x

We love salmon cooked in the maggi cooking bags. They do a lemon and dill one and it's lovely. I stock up on the bags when they are on offer. They are all 50p just now at Tesco. They are really tasty and I agree with your oh I do think fish needs a bit of flavour adding.

In the 3 their steamer new potatoes on the bottom veg in the middle salmon on the top wrapped in tin foil with a delicensing of lemon sliver of ginger and a tiny pinch of of dried dill or sprig of fresh dill when potatoes are soft salmon ready and pour the juice in the tin foil parcel over 30 mins from start to on the table
One of my mothers cheat dishes gives you enough time to,have a quick shower change set the island for 2 pour glass of chilled Chablis and in her case be reading at the island mine to be sat dibbing as she used to say move over Nigella we've been cheating for years

Squeezed lemon (lots of it), bit of black pepper ,into oven for 15min covered in tin foil. Easy to do and tasty!
If you over cook it, the salmon fat turns white, kind of oozes out, so watch for that.
Best of luck !

Put fillets on a plate, a little seasoning, put another plate on top. A couple of minutes in the microwave

I just put lemon juice on mine, cover in foil and oven for 20 minutes... the kids prefer sweet chilli sauce on theirs though.

However sometimes I cut some up, fry it and add to stir fry.

By the way the salmon at Costco is excellent
