I haven't got the book but I thought the enchilada lasagna sounded nice so I've found it on the website, it says at the bottom that it serves 4 and is 675kcal per person, is this right as I though the recipes were lower?
Thanks |

I think there is supposed to be over 80 new recipes in the book that aren’t on the website.
It also seems to be based around slimming world and not calorie counting so although the calories seem high it’s all on the slimming world plan, it’s lovely btw and so filling |

I can’t find enchilada lasagna in the book but there is a chicken fajita pie which is 492 calories. It does state it’s a higher calorie recipe for special occasions.
They started out as a slimming world recipe site but for the book they have made no mention of SW or syns and just list the calories. |

Mentions in book that they’ve omitted points, syns etc as they are always changing, I don’t suppose they’d legally be allowed to mention syns and slimming world anyway

Are there many vegetarian recipes? I’ve heard such great things about this book but I don’t want to buy it if I can’t eat anything in it!

My son and daughter in law have bought me this for Mother's Day, I only got it yesterday as we were travelling back from holiday on Sunday.
I've had a quick flick through it and some of the recipes look really tasty. I do go on the website quite often as I follow slimming world but I think I'll find the book easier as when trying to follow a recipe on the iPad it switches off after a couple of minutes and I won't miss scrolling through all the ads to get to the recipe.

Have gone through it for you by chapter.
Chapter 1 Breakfast - I would say most are vegetarian or could be easily made vegetarian by missing one ingredient out. Chapter 2 Fakeaways - most are meat, there is a vegetable curry and veggie burgers only. Chapter 3 Quick meals - there are about four vegetarian meals and one which just has a bit of bacon in which you could leave out and still have a decent dish. However the vegetarian recipes are not particularly challenging and not sure you would need a recipe for, e.g. one is a cous cous, another a salad. Chapter 4 Stews and soups - there are two vegetarian dishes Chapter 5 bakes and roasts - there is a spinach and ricotta cannelloni and a couple of other vegetarian dishes but they are more like sides to me. Mainly meat based recipes. Chapter 6 Snacks and sides & Chaper 7 Sweets - mainly vegetarian. To sum up, no I don’t think this is a cook book for you. |
