I don’t think that parks will be heaving because of families changing their booking from this year. Many people will have cancelled not postponed, many people will have lost jobs or had reduced income. I am therefore not going to bring speculation on crowd levels into it, we just don’t know.
Even if we were to go next year, I would not think about booking anything just yet. I would rather see the parks reopen first, better understand what the experience will be like and also see how travel insurance is going to work in the future. |

We are the same. We were due to book for August 2021, but will definitely be postponing until 2022 now. The fact it’s the 50 th anniversary, coupled with everyone that has moved their dates from this year to next, makes it very unappealing crowd wise. If restrictions are in place, which common sense dictates they will be to an extent, then I don’t want to pay £thousands for that sort of experience. I will look at it again this time next year and see where things are then.

We have booked a villa for next year, first 2 weeks in September. No one knows how the crowds will be, a lot of people are going to be struggling financially and Disney will no doubt put the prices up. So it could either be heaving or it could potentially be quieter. We haven't organised flights although I see TUI have released theirs for next summer. I think a lot could change between now and next summer, fingers crossed we will be going but if not then it will be 2022 for us too.

People seem to think summer next year will be busy due to 2020 hangover and the anniversary. I personally think that some will have postponed till 2021 from 2020 but I think most have cancelled and wont book for next year due to finances and a good portion who were going to won't out of finance/fear. That coupled with the fact that the 50th officially starts in October I think means summer wont be any busier than normal if not a touch quieter. Disney is never quiet so postponing to avoid crowds isn't something I'm willing to do.
End of August is always a slower time which is when we go (should have been this August but now next year) and I don't think next year will be any different. Edited at 09:29 AM. |

A quarter of the US is currently claiming unemployment benefit. I can't see Disney being busy next year unless thetly seriously slash prices.
I also think for now that they must plan for being able to open fully for the summer next year at least. |

Later in 2021 was always going to be busy because of the 50th. I wan to go for the 50th but as everyone has said, how will the experience be in the wake of Covid 19?

Just booked for the end of August beginning of September next year we can handle crowds as we early risers, mid afternoon chillers and then late night party people - add advantage of a villa to chill in

We’re planning on Feb 21 providing we can get decent enough insurance, we were only planning one park day but won’t bother if we have to wear masks. We’ve a fly drive booked and a villa but will play it by ear. If we don’t go in Feb, then it will be a good few years till we go back to Florida as we want to do California and go to Australia to see family.
