My outbound VA flight is still showing as LGW - MCO on 15 July, but they have removed my seat reservations. The return journey is now MCO - LHR on 29 July, but departing 2 hrs 35 minutes earlier.
So does that mean that they expect me to travel from LHR to LGW on the morning we arrive back to collect my car? Doesn't sound very reasonable!
Would I have good grounds for a refund on this? Any help greatly appreciated.

VA aren't starting to fly again until 20th July, I would expect your flights will be cancelled.

Interesting it does say for flight cancellations if they have cancelled a flight and put you on an alternative flight you can request a refund.

You will not be going unfortunately unless you move your holiday. I am sure that you will be informed of your options soon

Thats good to know. We booked a LGW to MCO virgin holiday booking and they have moved it to LHR, therefore flight number change...so we can ask for full refund? Our carparking we can't change to LHR, our airport Hotel has been effected too. So now would be much easier to fly from Bristol with TUI. I have done the cancellation request form on the email they sent me regarding the changes so will wait for them to contact me.

Of course, 261/2004 is very clear- a cancellation is a cancellation. If they put you on another flight, it’s still a cancellation.

Full refund due in 7 days if then requested- no ifs, no buts. If not received and doesn’t appear to be coming or you are ignored, just move straight onto a chargeback.

Hi all. I originally booked a flight to MCO indirect via Atlanta from Manchester. One of the internal delta flights became unavailable and therefore Virgin put us on the direct flight as there were no other ways to get us their the same day. Even though this sounds better would this be classed as a cancellation and therefore due a refund? If the answer is yes and they now move us back to the original indirect, is this still classed as flight change cancellation?

My return flight with virgin holidays has been made 2 hours sooner and has a different flight number.
I am wanting to cancel or move the holiday to next year anyway. Does anyone know if this change means I can cancel without losing my deposit please?
