I can see people being disappointed when they find their flights are operating but they don't want to go but did not take up the offer of a a reschedule or a voucher because they where hoping for a cancellation.

I will be massively disappointed but I am flying with VA so I don’t want to take a voucher as the way things are going they won’t exist next year !
I also can’t reschedule as the price increase for same time next year is astronomical. I have no choice but to hope it’s cancelled or go

With the rate of infection increasing so much in Florida, I can't see them opening borders any time soon.

What if the offer of a voucher is withdrawn? If the flights are going why would they still offer one? Be down to your travel insurance then (and only if FCO advises against travel)

I got the email for a flight I am due to take on 21st August to Cyprus from Heathrow. It seems strange that not everyone has received one. At the moment UK nationals are not permitted to enter Cyprus so I'm hoping my flight is cancelled so I can have a refund. Maybe BA are targeting those whose flight is most likely to be cancelled, who knows?

When I spoke to an agent via chat they told me that bookings before March would have to apply for a voucher no less than 3 weeks before the flight. So I'm using the thread BA flight cancellations timings to see how close to the wire I can go.

I can't see them withdrawing the voucher if they have already publicly announced you can have one.

for those of you in this thread asking if you can claim the voucher even if you only paid deposit, you can! We did this ourselves. The voucher comes in the form of an email that you have to respond to with your booking ref when you rebook - not just a code you can enter. So you still have to pay the deposit out again on a new booking, then they take the voucher value off the remaining balance (we didn't realise this until we received the voucher email and thought it was a little bit misleading). For those of you with balance due dates coming up its worth giving them a call as our final payment date was changed to 3 weeks before travel. Having just made a new booking I think all balances atm are not due until 3 weeks before travel but best if you check with them for your individual circumstances.

Its more a case that from a certain future date they will say we will no longer be offering vouchers.
It will come at some point, the question is when.
If you have already accepted a voucher then it would still be valid, just that no more will be issued.
