Sharps disposal in Florida
Just wondering what diabetic Dibbers do with their used needles when they're in Florida? Can only think to dispose of them responsibly in a strong container in the rubbish, though feel uncomfortable about doing that. Do Walgreens or anywhere have a sharps collection point?

I take my own sharps bin it's not too big but it goes in my hand luggage and you have to dispose of them on the plane too but you can get them from your doctors on prescription. I hope this helps.

Our son has injections daily for Growth Hormone Replacement which are very similar to the epipens for diabetics.
We were given a needle clipper when he first started with them but they kept getting stuck! We now have a smaller travel sharps bin we take with us and dispose of them when we get back home. These were all sent to us by the company that provide the injections for us. Speak to your nurses at your gp's and explain and they should provide something. |

BD used to make something called the BD Safeclip, haven't ordered any for a prescription lately but ask your local pharmacist and they can find out if they are still made. You can buy them if you don't want to get a prescription.

I have needle clippers and they were given to me on prescription. Had no idea I could take a small sharps bin with me?
