Blast from the past, Jubilee Pancakes!

Listening to local radio in the car this morning. It had guess the year songs and info on (1977). I was happily singing along and up popped Little Chef introduced their Jubilee Pancakes which I'd completely forgotten them. I never enjoyed but my Mum absolutely loved them. She would arrange her trips out to include a chance to eat some of them! Did anyone else enjoy them?

I remember them and had them loads of times! A trip to Little Chef was a huge treat when I was growing up. I loved the little square orange lollipops they used to give you at the till when you went to pay.

Thanks for the photos Princess Alison, that's how I remember them! I never liked the cherry filling. Little Chefs used to be a treat too.

I used to work in a Little Chef when I was in school and College made thousands of them! I don't like cherries but used to love the ones with Maple Syrup and Ice cream.

Used to love the breakfasts, we were allowed a free meal if we worked a full shift

The photos bring back happy memories!

Worked in little chef for quite a few years Sorry to spoil the illusion but those pancakes were frozen (as was pretty much everything)

I hated them but they were very popular.

I worked in a Little Chef too from about 1974 to 1980 they certainly weren't frozen then. Remember making batches of the mix up and as I said cooked thousands on the griddles.

Perhaps they moved to frozen later on and helped towards their demise?

I always miss a stop at a Little Chef, now seemed to be replaced by Macdonalds, etc.
