Recommend lots of liquids and paracetamol, and plenty of rest!

DD has had a cold since mid September. Did a negative PCR on 22 September. LFT testing twice a week as she is a teacher, negative lft Sunday night and then a definite positive lft last night. Now we are all waiting for our PCR results. Trouble is her symptoms have stayed the same the whole way through so we have no idea when it switched from a cold to covid (if the PCR comes back positive)

DH never tested positive on a PCR despite doing 3 in a week. Diagnosed as Long covid by GP via the phone. DS had brought covid home from school and was unaware he had it as had heavy cold but I called 119 to book PCR and they said dont bother, its just a cold. This was last Dec when LFT were not used, just PCRs. Glad we ignored 119 and got DS tested.

My daughters has had the exact same this week very faint line on a test she hadn’t put in the bin so made her do another and it was positive just had her pcr results as positive she’s isolating in her room. We are all negative tho so hopefully stays like that 🤞🏻
