I just did a huge lamb stew with dumplings and gave my Dad a huge container of it to tide him over. Remembering to take the teabags out for him lol (bouquet garni ) as he doesn't see very well.

I've got 2 different slow cookers one hasca single big pot and an interchangeable double pot and the one I love best is a 3 individual pot one which s great when all the family are coming i.e. Baked potatoes in one chilli in one and chicken Or a veg type filling in the other
I even make enchiladas ,breakfast omelette, porridge ,mashed potatoes ,meat loaf etc in mine and slow cooker fudge and mincemeat are Christmas favourites
I currently am making plum chutney ,apple sauce and green tomato chutney in mine

Pork shoulder (diced), cassoulet beans, chorizo, sliced onions, garlic and a tin of plum tomatoes, seasoning - a favourite in our house.

I cooked pork chops today and they were awful, tasted like ribs but overcooked! My best effort is meatballs and mince in a pasta sauce! I buy ready made meatballs cook them on the hob with mince and garlic, red wine and dolimio sauce plus a cup of bisto and some oregano and salt. Throw it all in the slow cooker for two hours and serve with spaghetti and parmasen. My kids say its better than the spaghetti in Rome!

Oh I looooove my slow cooker & use it most days 👍🏻 This is this weeks menu

Yesterday we had Mexican Chicken (chicken breasts, peppers, onions, tin of tomatoes, packet of old el passo & a tin of kidney beans, throw it in & cook it all day which we had with boiled rice & sour cream.

Tomorrow I'm doing pulled pork, wedges, homemade coleslaw & corn on cob

Saturday (out at friends)

Sunday I've got a joint of lamb that I'll make a roast with

Monday Chicken Breasts Cooked in the slowcooker and the last hour I'll add a peppercorn sauce, roasted baby new potatoes, baby sweetcorn & sugar snap peas

Tuesday Meetballs & Spagetti (I just brown the meetballs in a dry frying pan to seal them before I put them in the slow cooker)

Wednesday chicken curry (haha yes we eat a lot of chicken! &#128584

Thursday: Ham joint cook in slowcooker then I bung it in the oven for the last 10mins once I've covered it in mustard, honey & brown sugar, roast potatoes, cauliflower cheese & peas

I really don't know what I'd do without mine 👍🏻

Try wrapping the pork chops in tin foil but put a large slice of peeled cooking apple on them and then wrap they may have been too lean to cook well in the slow cooker I find cheaper cuts of meat are better

Sandra&Co - the whole point of a slow cooker is that you take a cheapish, maybe tough piece of meat and because you take all day to cook it you produce the most flavoursome meal. With pork chops - 20 minutes under the grill is all they need. Nice with with some home made sage and onion and apple sauce.
