This is "our" choice for next week...I say "our" because I'm not convinced by the last one !

We had three of the four. We love the bangers and mash and it is my go to filler recipe if I need one. The lasagne was nice but I wouldn't get it again as I found it hard work but see what you think. I see to remember we enjoyed the fish fingers and the dill mayo was very tasty.

Bangers and mash. Tried it once and there was gristle in some of the sausages. Won't be having it again.

We are missing next weeks box out but for the week after we have the following.

Spicy Kung Pao Chicken & Rice

South Indian Chicken Cashew Curry

Chip-Topped Beef & Thyme Pie With Peas

10-Min Garlic Mushroom & Sage Gnocchi

Had to raise a complaint today as our courier has let us down. We knew we would be out and so when I got the text through with the delivery time I asked them to put the box in our safe space. Got home and it was on the doorstep and in full view of the street and in direct sun.

Was not impressed as it was not the first time it had happened.

A tried Gousto after seeing a thread about it. The first box came Friday and both meals have been really good, it’s nice to try something a bit different and get out of a food rut. Considering I’ve chosen meals with lower calories, the portion size has been very generous.

This is the current box -

These are next weeks choices -

The one thing I would say is that there’s lots of washing up! Both recipes have needed lots of little mixing bowls and pans. We didn’t have a mortar and pestle so I made quite a lumpy paste

Met up with our daughter this weekend. She uses Mindful Chef mindfulchef/
All produce is organic and/or responsibly sourced.
A bit more expensive, but some unusual options.

I am using hello fresh and loving it. Mainly as it means I don’t agonise over what to make every night!

Tonight was caramelised cheesy pork steaks, mash (receipe said wedges but had those the other day so fancied mash) and garlic greens. No complaints here!

A few other meals from hello fresh we’ve had;

Nutty stir fry

Meatballs and roasted veg in a fruity gravy

Korean beef tacos (messy but delish)

Thai pork noodles

Beef rogan josh (not spicy enough sadly!)
