I had a red Dansette, which I inherited from my brother when he went to university. Loved it!

We only had a huge wireless when I was under 10, then a posh radiogram in my teens. My first player was a simple boxed one as wasnt allowed to use Mum and Dads with my records

I had the red Danette in my bedroom and we had a radiogram downstairs. I also had a tiny bright blue Alba transistor radio.

I remember my aunty listening to “sing something simple” (Mike Sammes singers, I believe) on a Sunday evening and waiting for the valves to warm up ...

We had a portable case record player and a transistor radio then my dad purchased something similar to this,
 My mates were well jealous 🤣

I wish I knew what happened to our radiogram.
Still remember sitting listening to Jeff Waynes War of the Worlds and ELO's Out of the Blue LP's on it. |
