We only had a huge wireless when I was under 10, then a posh radiogram in my teens. My first player was a simple boxed one as wasnt allowed to use Mum and Dads with my records

I had the red Danette in my bedroom and we had a radiogram downstairs. I also had a tiny bright blue Alba transistor radio.

We had a portable case record player and a transistor radio then my dad purchased something similar to this,
