No, if I order something it’s because that’s what I want to eat - I don’t want part of my dish and part of everyone else’s that i didn’t order and I loathe it when it is suggested that we all share. I found a simple solution to this years ago - I order tofu and no one wants to share! 😀😀

Not in a million years and if anyone tried to get any food off my plate they would have a close encounter with my fork😂

Take-aways - Yes, always. One portion of chips/rice is always enough split between us - would be a waste of food to order more.
Would also share with friends and family like this. Food hasn’t be dished up so don’t see the problem. Drinks- only with very close friends/immediate family. I’d drink from the straw and let my step-mum, best friend or whoever try some of my cocktail from the side of the glass. Main meals - if there was something I didn’t like e.g tomato I’d pass it on to a family member who did. If someone was waiting for their meal to be served still I’d let them steal chips from my plate. Once I’m finished I offer up left overs and they use their own fork. On the rare occasion I let someone try something mid meal I have to cut it and put it on their plate with clean cutlery. Would never do any of the above (bar take aways) with anyone who wasn’t immediate family or a very close/best friend. |

Takeaways - yes, divvy them up onto plates.
Trying a bit of each other’s meal - yes with DH in restaurants. I wouldn’t with friends. Offering something I don’t like - only family. Ordering something to share - yes, maybe dessert and I would ask for an extra plate/cutlery. I don’t like the idea of those huge cocktails for 4 people where everyone has a straw. I would want it decanted into a separate glass. Never tried the Kitchen Sink at WDW but I would ask for a separate bowl that I could put my portion into. Edited at 11:54 AM. |

My oh and I often order to share... 2 different burgers and have half of each each or if “informal” places will ask for 2 dishes say fajitas and nachos and 2 clean plates to eat off

We have friends who are sharers but we are definitely not. My wife may very occasionally offer me a taste of her dish if it’s something new, but the majority of the time no.
