100% this, international guests make up such a small amount, and I’d assume that the majority of people that are international have already booked there slots in, no reason why they can’t if they have paid for tickets.

We’ve booked our park days already for September next year just to get it done - we’ve just alternated parks every day and am assuming we’ll be able to change things on the fly/a few days beforehand if we want to

Yes.

First, the park reservations currently aren't really being used to limit capacity at the parks. As far as I'm aware, the limits are back to the normal ones that used to be in place back in 2019 and before. Therefore the park reservation system is mainly being used by Disney to determine how many people will visit each park on each day so that they have a reasonable idea of what staffing levels are required.

Many people aren't going to pay to use Genie+. And Disney won't know how many people will pay to use it and how many won't. Plus, in most cases, people won't pay for Genie+ until on the day they use it. So, Disney can't use Genie+ numbers to predetermine the numbers of people in each park in order to adjust staffing levels ahead of time.

Hence, the introduction of Genie+ doesn't impact Disney 'need' for the park reservation system.
