Julia has just announced she has Breast Cancer. Really sorry to read another lovely lady got it.
I hope the treatment is a success. Her fitness & positivity will help her.

Ohh that's sad,I really like her, she's super fit and healthy,goes to show that awful disease can hit any of us.

I had a similar diagnosis to Julia (DCIS- cells in a milk duct) although my High Grade cells were less than half the size of hers.
It was only after a WLE (lumpectomy) and histolgical exam of the area removed that the Drs were able to say whether or not further surgery was needed. In my case it wasnt & following a course of RT I needed no further treatment, only annual mamograms.
I know a couple of ladies with the same condition; 1 who needed further small surgery & RT the other 1 had a mastectomy & reconstruction - no RT. We are all doing well 4 yrs on.
Hopefully Julia will make a full, speedy recovery as we did.

This is not good news indeed.

I'd recommend listening to her slot on Women's Hour that I think aired yesterday or a couple of days ago. It's on the podcast.
