My other half getting up for work at 5.45 and making the biggest racket ever (he is unable to be quiet) and then comes back up to use the bathroom and wakes me up again, and then goes downstairs and realises he’s forgotten something and comes back in to the bedroom and thinks I want a philosophical chat about what he’s seen on Twitter today! I almost breathe a sigh of relief when I hear the door go

One of my part time jobs is working in supermarkets as a rep - we move shelving around etc for putting equipment on. Sometimes I can be lifting something and have a huge shelf or brackets in my hand trying to place in correct position - I wear a tee and lanyard that have the company name on and I always get a customer at least once a week:
Customer: ‘Where is XYD’ (no please or thank yous or excuse me). Me: ‘Ah sorry I don’t work for Asda, but there’s a staff member just there who would be able to help you locate it’ (bearing in mind I work all over and have no idea of the layout of the shops). Customer: ‘They look busy though, could you just tell me where I’d find XYZ’ Me: continuing to hold equipment in place ‘I don’t actually work for Asda etc, so I don’t know the layout, but I’d imagine maybe next to…….’ Customer: ‘So you don’t know where it is?!’ Me: Finds somewhere for a strong coffee. |
