Perfume

DD likes floral perfumes like Daisy and was once gifted Lancôme La Vie Est Belle which she loved. I’m off on holiday tomorrow so thought I would pick up a perfume at the airport for her … any suggestions for a 23 year old please? Definitely more floral than musky!

I’m a big fan of Daisy but also like other versions of it so might be worth a look at Marc Jacobs section. Also like Liz Earle No 100 which is very light and floral but not sure if that is in the airport

When I was younger I used to were LouLou all the time and was complimented on it a lot, it’s very floral
Because it’s been around a while it’s not very expensive.

If you want more upmarket then Jo Malone does a variety of floral and fruity ones, I like the lime, basil and mandarin but there are other flowery ones

Do you find it lasts? I love the smells but I really don't think they work on me. Plus they have stopped my favourite one!

Which one Sue?
The LouLou did so long as you get the parfum not the eau de toilette.
The Jo Malone one lasts on me but scents are so different on people - my friend used to wear Cristalle by Chanel and it was gorgeous on her, I tried it on me and it smelled like cat wee!
(Something to do with skin texture, natural oils apparently).

I generally prefer woody, musky scents like Black Orchid, the black intense Jo Malone ones like Dark Amber and Ginger Lily and the new Molton Brown Oudh Accord and Gold.
These all last a very long time - days if you don’t wash

Basil and Neroli Sue.

All Chanel smells like cat pee on me.

I remember when Elizabeth Arden Blue Grass was my favourite, I use to have to go to Selfridges to get it! For everyday I wore Kiku and Aqua Manda. Then graduated to Rive Gauche, Paris and Poison.

Op as an apology for merailingv your thread have a look at the Natcisco perfumes, the Fleur Musc is particularly nice.

I prefer floral perfumes, my favourites are:
- Tiffany Sheer (on my Christmas list as i’ve run out!).
- La Vie Est Belle
- Chanel No 5
- Miss Dior
As a teenager I remember getting given Anais Anais which I used to love, but smells quite sickly to me now! Also used to like a Next perfume called Floribundia (something like that) and always had so many compliments- it just suited my skin I suppose-but they stopped selling it, forcing me onto more ‘grown up’ perfumes!
I’m actually thinking which perfumes/fragrances to get for my DD’s (15 & 13).
Have previously bought for them
- Mac Candy Yum Yum (can’t seem to find this available at the moment though).
- DKNY Eau so Blush
- Victoria Secret Sprays (2 for £22), these are just sprays &not perfumes, but still nice. I think one is called Rose Petals or something like that.

Not a perfume but this body mist is gorgeous, light and flowery, £10 in Superdrug but they do go on offer at times. A handy Christmas gift .

Jimmy chop and flower bomb are long lasting scents. I popped into my sisters work on Tuesday and she was trying to nail me down in a perfume for Xmas. The ones she thought would suit were really not my taste, so think she’ll do flower bombs for me which I am more than happy with. Still have lasts year to open as I have a so many in use at the moment xx
