Self assessment form SA 100

Tax office said to download this form for DH as he now does just eat deliveries, but unless I’m really dense, I can’t see anywhere for him to claim petrol or mileage, expenses etc for setting up the account etc. Can anyone advise me xxxx

If he’s self-employed he will also need either page SA103s or if he is above the VAT threshold or has received any Support grants through COVID page SA103f. This is where he will declare his income and expenses, the SA100 is just the main section where you sign and complete any other relevant details.

Has your husband already registered as self employed with HMRC ? The date he started self employment will determine when his first tax return is due. If he has already been sent notification he needs to complete a 2020/21 return and he wants to complete a paper one he will need to hurry as the deadline is 31st October.
The SA100 is the main body of the tax return. Any other pages relating to sources of income will need be downloaded too.

It is much easier to complete it online and you will get until 31 January to complete.
