New Halloween Event at DCA

Wondering if anyone has any thoughts/feelings about the new 'Oogie Boogie Bash' happening at DCA?
Never been to any of the halloween events, but as it's in DCA this time it just seems a bit of a downgrade, however it'll be the only time I'll likely be in a Disney park around this time of year so it's a debate between experiencing a halloween party or spending time in DL as it may well be quieter with people not realising the event doesn't block them from visiting.

From previous experience of being at Disneyland twice during Halloween (granted the party was the at Disneyland) but the park without the party was busy on party nights as guests without party tickets at the park with the party move over to the other park late afternoon/early evening.

I’ve done the MNSSHP and it was fabulous.

This years is different, I’m still on the fence about going, though it’s purely from a cost point of view.

To me, the only differences I can see is that it’s in a different park and there are no fireworks, but on the plus size there are free Halloween snacks and drinks (as well as the usual trick or treating)

I feel people went more all out with their costumes in California too, it was brilliant to see some of them

we have it booked, I guess they have moved it because of SWGE, otherwise people like me would just head there and not do the party lol. You can get in at 3pm, so we are using it as our visit to DCA and have booked Disneyland for the next day to do SWGE

Didn’t think of that being the reason why it was moved! Well spotted!

I’m still debating, I’ve actually got a massive ticket debate at the minute anyway, but that’s a whole other story ha ha

I am still hoping that they do up the HM to Jack's house, one of my mine reasons to be there at that time of the year

I’m presuming they still will as they’ll still have Halloween decks up there.

It was brilliant when I rode it a few years back, and I hadn’t even seen the film at that point!

Oooh I didn't see there were snacks and drinks included too, sure I can make back the £80 with that alongside the candy

I think reading everyone's replies that I'll probably go for it, if it's essentially the same thing just at a different location, it shouldn't be enough of a reason for me to be put off.
Looking at the details now, it seems like they've added more than there was when I first started looking too, so my initial feelings about it were a bit worse.

I wonder if they aren't doing the fireworks because of how often they're cancelled do to winds etc. It could be that a hard ticket event results in more complaints when the fireworks don't happen.

Possible! It’s a shame they’re not doing them though.

I’ll try to link the article that said snacks and drinks were included (well seasonal ones!)

What date do you think you’re going to book?

I might be wrong but I don’t think any food or drink is included. As far as I know the only thing is included is the candy and healthy snacks from the trick and treat stations. The articles I have seen mentioned their will be seasonal food, drink and snacks available (as both parks do every year) but didn’t say they were included in the ticket price and haven’t been at past parties
