October flight Cancelled
I have to be honest and say I did not see this coming.
My BA (AA) flight to LAX on 24th October has been cancelled. Need to decide on what to do but it has come as a shock as I have been one of those people convinced we were going to go. Well, I was wrong. |

Yep, came right out of the blue as I was watching the football on TV. An email dropped in.
We didn’t expect to hear anything yet. Maybe it’s because we are essentially as BA holiday as we have a car on the booking that’s it’s different, or perhaps that it is an AA flight On a codeshare out rather than BA Itself. The return flight is still there though! But I think we will defer for a year. Disney passes will be valid, need to check Universal and our accommodation rules, but I think they will all refund or defer. On the phone tomorrow! |

I’ve seen on FB a number of people have had October flights cancelled with AA (booked via BA) to LAX. I was surprised that they have cancelled them so early.

We are supposed to be flying to Las Vegas 1st August with Virgin booked via Travel Republic. We havent heard anything yet from either companies. We booked from MAN-LAS & coming home LAS-MAN. This was changed from LHR-LAS and no one still hasn't told us about these changes. We Just have to get refunds from Travel Republic for our flights & disney tickets. We have had refunds back on everything else we booked.

Our flight with BA on 24th October to LAX hasn’t been cancelled yet but our flight home has! I’m hoping the flight out gets cancelled soon.

Our 2 December flights were cancelled during the week, but we rebooked as they were on 747’s. I’m still not hopeful that we will be going though, but wanted to keep the trip alive as long as possible.

If you booked flight only and both flights are on the same ticket you don't need to wait to apply for a refund if that is what you want. Just ring 0800 727 800 don't choose any options and you shouldn't have a problem. Just be patient when you call as BA have cancelled a lot of flights recently and the lines are very busy.
Hope that helps and Good Luck. |
