Gosh, aren't ferry prices expensive!

Looking to book Dover - Calais for mid August and was expecting around £90.
DFDS and P&O are both £180, Tunnel is £233.

Has anyone got any discount codes?

Whoa! We’ve never paid that much in all the times we’ve used both types of crossings .
Must be trying to recoup a bit back

We have been looking at the Eurostar for 2 adults 2 children and it’s coming close to £500. Flights from Manchester are over £1,000 for the 4 of us. Keep trying to find a way of getting it cheaper but can’t.

Indirect Eurostar changing at Lille? Very easy and often much cheaper.

Or Eurostar to Gare du Nord which often has cheaper tickets, sometimes special offers of £29 each way.

It’s 45 min on the RER from there, costs about £15 return.

We have done both of these options and both very easy.

OP I hope you find a better deal!

Magic Breaks have a new offer which includes FREE Eurotunnel, book by 31st July. This might help some of you looking to book at the moment.

We went via Lille. Much better times (we got a full last day) and it was much cheaper. (£36 each way)

We paid a bit under £300 for the Eurotunnel, but we paid extra for a cancellable ticket (just in case...)

Just looked at Magic Breaks, and then also at Disney, and the price has gone up a lot since we booked a few weeks ago for the same dates.

Jeez.. we paid £105 for the euro tunnel in December and don’t think we’ve ever paid more than £140 .
They’re definitely trying to recoup losses ,eh?
