How Much Do You Spend In The Parks?

Just wondering on average, how much money PP do you spend in the parks?

I've never been before and would help on my budgeting for the holiday.

How long is a piece of string ?

It really depends what you're after, food, merchandise ...
It also depends on the type of party

Some don't spend (esp. on the DDP) and some will spend over £50pp.pd

Totally varies. We usually have a CS lunch in the parks, roughly $10-15 each, snacks and drinks maybe $10 each and then whatever gifts/merchandise we see.

With two princesses aged 12 & 6 we're currently in the middle of spending a small fortune :-)

Not much for us. Counter service lunch, perhaps a snack and not much else. Maybe $50 per day between two of us, on average. We had the odd more expensive day, if we had a table service meal in the evening or bought souvenirs - this was MK and Epcot as we did opening to close.

If you don't take some drinks with you then you will spend a fortune.

Easily $20 per day on water / soft drinks. Adds up to a lot. Can get cases in Walmart for buttons, especially water.

loads and loads

we plan on having $175 a day spending money for two of us

and just top the wallet up every day

but for meals in the park we will be doing counter service meals and snacks and drinks and have a main meal outside the park on I drive

the big spends will be when we get there a trip to walmart for supplies
and the next big spend will be the mall and gearworks in epcot
oh don't forget the large Disney shop in DTD too

As people have said it does very much depend on you... we tend to have breakfast in the villa or en route to the park and then a late lunch which is about $12-$15 per person.

Ways to save money is to buy some of the Robinsons Squash'd ( other brands available ! ). All parks will give you free cups of water and you can then just add the squash. Alternatively if you are in a villa then pop to a supermarket and buy loads of bottle of water and freeze them ( you can pre add squash)... by lunch time they would have melted into a very refreshing cold drink.

Also Universal sell a refillable cup, think it's about $8.99 but refills are only 99c...you can use this at both Universal parks for the duration of your stay ( in fact in years to come)... SeaWorld/Aquatica/Busch do the same too.

Plenty of snacks to buy along the way which you should try such as Dole Ship in Magic Kingdom. Ice cream in Diagons Alley, Churros at Universal and many many more

how many of you and the age? obviously children's meals are less. Are you on any sort of dining plan? You need to buy a lot of drinks, water etc if its warm so would recommend buying one of those refill cups for the family. To save money, just eat lunch in the park and have breakfast and dinner elsewhere.
