I’m not trying to scare anyone, but If it was me I would rather know. Hopefully all will be okay but at least if the original op decides to go ahead with the booking she can make sure she pays via credit card etc.

We upgraded to premium in the summer and it was well worth the money.
We've booked with them for next summer. We not overly concerned. They will go under quicker if people stop booking with them because of the rumours.

Thomas Cook "is understood to be in last minute negotiations with bondholders to approve a takeover by Chinese firm Fosun Tourism. The deal needs the backing of three quarters of bondholders to succeed. Thomas Cook wants to delay a meeting with them to give it more time to negotiate":

Yep. The CAA is on alert in case TC goes under. Loads of info if you google CAA and Thomas Cook. Personally I would wait to book until more is known in the next month or so.

This is just speculation the CAA say they won't comment on anyone's situation

According to some people's definition, preparing for the worst case scenario is apparently considered "scaremongering" and "Project Fear".

Thomas Cook has filled for Chapter 15 protection in the US. This prevents US investors from claiming their money back whilst TC tries to restructure its debts.
