Phone calls

Does anyone else keep getting phone calls about your internet being shut down in the next 24 hours ! ,or there will be £600 taken from your MasterCard account in the next 15 minutes ,or there is some type of warrant out against you. Strange how none of these calls actually come from an actual human being.I,ve apparently had exactly £600 taken from my account several times and guess what internet is still on!

I have been getting that one a few times, most recently yesterday. I hung up when they said it was about my internet.

The 'internet being cut off' call has been around for a while.

I strung a Guy called Adam (liar) along last week and he told me to F off!

My next ploy is to fall back on the old favourites:-

Are you naked? I am!
What cream do you use for your Piles?
Can I have a photo of you please?
What's you bank details and PIN number.

Keeps them on the line for ages.

My DH loves stringing them along especialy if the calls about you just having had an accident. He normally states that's great I was waiting for your call and has versions about crashing his ferrari, hot air balloon landing on the car, donkey in the road etc. It's actually amazing how long some stay on the line before realising it's a wind up. I personally don't answer if don't recognise the number or just hang up.

With my recent “you’ve been involved in an accident” calls I’ve now started asking them... ”have I, when” they then follow the script and ask again “we’ve been given your number etc” so I say well you seem to know about it so why don’t you tell me”... they then put the phone down on me...
I’m looking for a new line now, any suggestions?

I also love stringing the cold callers along

My last one was "we can see you were in a recent accident", my response... "yes I died".

Managed to get them to follow their silly script until they told me to F off.. no idea how though seeing as I had died.

I had to stop after reading the first post to answer a 'BT your internet will be cut off unless youc click 1' it was recorded but the new tack is its a very posh English voice now.
My last 'you have been in an accident call' I said but I dont even own a car. If I am in the mood I can keep them going for ages too.

My landline is now unplugged but every time I used to get a sales call or you have been in an accident call I would say 'oh, yes thank you so much for calling, let me just get my husband for you, hes in the garden' I would then stuff the phone under sofa cushion for half an hour, great fun... calls from them all stopped pretty quickly...shame 😂
