OPODO - Opinions
Opodo have some good flight prices for next Easter.
Apart from recent experiences due to Covid, what are people's experiences of them? We're wary of booking with someone unknown to us, particularly as it's flight only. Thanks

I booked via opodo for our 2016 flights with BA. All very straightforward, received the booking reference - no complaints

We booked our August flights with them. It showed as Premium Economy but when we looked to choose our seats they had booked us Economy Delight. Luckily it was still within the 12 hr cancellation period so I cancelled and money back in my account in a few days.
I wouldn’t book with them again.

We've just been checking again and the first screen shows checked baggage including, but the next booking screen shows baggage is extra.
Is it possible to ring and book, or is it all done online with Opodo?

Do not use Opodo! Seriously I bet all is fine if everything goes to plan but the second something goes wrong they have 0 customer service.
We booked for this August, flights cancelled and they are refusing to refund me. Have now emailed their CEO and COO as getting nowhere with their customers service’ who read from a script and have no authority to do anything. It’s not worth the cheaper flight prices IMO. I won’t ever book through an agency again. |

Why use a 3rd party operator, more difficult if things go wrong.
I alway struggle to get a like for like comparison with 3rd party sites and usually , with hotels, the hotels always do a price match, that's if the 3rd party is a genuine lower price. |

I have used third party websites to quickly assess all the option, but then I always book directly with the airline. I have always found that if I chose exactly the same flights, it is the same price on the airlines own website.

Do not use them. I’ve had so much trouble trying to get my money back! Never again. Their reviews are very poor as well. I took a chance last time and got an amazing price but it’s just not worth the hassle now.
