POFQ - Requesting a room tips
Hi Everyone,
Any tips for requesting room @ Port Orleans French Quarter? We have 2 chidren, 14 & 11 who will be in and out of the pool. We were thinking of a room that looks out at the pool. Good idea / bad idea? Ground floor, 1st or 2nd? Is there a sunny afternoon side in April? Any comments would be helpfull. Many thanks. |

What room category did you book? The rooms overlooking the pool are pool view rooms.
You can get in the two buildings next to the pool with garden and river views though. I prefer top floor so there is noone walking above me, however others like ground as it is easier to get back to their rooms. It is a lovely resort |

I book direct with Disney and always ring them and request a room in Building 4 as it's the closest to the bus stop and food court (though nothing's really far from them) and I've always been lucky so far. Views don't bother me as there are no balconies to sit on and look out at them, just walkways.

We have a standard room booked and I have requested building 4 on the ground floor. We too have kids a similar age to yours and thought ground floor would be better so they can head on in front of us easily to get drink refills or to go to the pool.

We have been to FQ a few times and booked through Disney so called up before each trip and asked for a room near the food court. As the pool, food court and bus are so close to each other this works well. Have been on different floors and don’t notice any difference in the noise from above/below. Would suggest ground floor if you’ll be in and out to pool. Am sure you’ll really enjoy this resort.
