Worst gift you’ve ever received!

One year me and dh said we didn’t want gifts and would go out in the sales and buy new coats and clothes. He was given a free umbrella at the paint shop with Leyland written on it which he gave me, he also got some cooking utensils, a straining spoon and ladle, spatula set and wrapped it up. I was shocked when I opened it on Christmas Day! I did laugh and spent loads in the sales to get my own back!
What about others?

When drainpipe style trousers came in about 1979, I was given a pair of green check flares by an auntie, I nearly died!

Got given £40 of Wagamama vouchers by the team at work for my birthday.
No Wagamama anywhere near where we live, and not somewhere I could see DS eating on a day out, so basically in the drawer no good to this man or his beasts 🤷🏻

My fussy daughter loves Wagamama maybe you should give it a try. I even managed to take my incredibly fussy niece there, she had chicken and rice.

An pink ice scraper for my car from an Aunt. I just wish she had not bothered although it did give us a giggle! Thankfully we only buy and receive from parents now in extended family terms.

My husband and I don’t get each other gifts really, all our money is spent on the kids lol
But we get little gifts for the children to wrap for us, pj’s, slippers & chocolates
I always have Disney pj’s and a couple of years ago my husband got me a pair of leopard print Minnie Mouse PJ’s with a giant stick on red leopard print bow saying ‘FAB... U... LOUS’
In massive writing. They were hideous, think Bet Lynch meets Minnie with a giant bow!
My daughter has never laughed as much in her life!

It's not Christmas but by far the worst gift was from my lovely mum (didn't think she was lovely that day) and we were on a caravan holiday, she went to a local market with my auntie she came back with my first bra for me and my younger brother got a toy truck... I threw a right stinker about it 🙄🙄🙄

My brother in law one year gave us a floating shelf. The following year he gave us an artists easel and a light that was unsafe for use (checked with an electrician friend). Oh and neither of us are artists and there was parts missing too. He said the two presents together cost £160 and that it is one of those camera lamps which were all the rage. He forgot i work in Dunelm and sell a camera lamp for £80. Also it was an artists easel...he turned the box inside out so we wouldnt suss it out! He offered to come round and show us how to out the two together but we had thrown them both out cos were unusable
