My mum wouldn’t buy me one as she didn’t think I needed one lol! I asked at 14 and she gave me the money to go shopping myself!

Two boxes of hair dye for christmas from a relative - topped off by later finding out she’d bought it for herself, but then didn't really like the colour! It was beautifully wrapped though.

When I was in my twenties I was given a book called Cooking for the menopause. I’ll be glad of it one day! When DS was 10 he was given a poker set with the playing cards missing.

Not so long ago DH gave me this huge box on Christmas Eve saying he didn’t want to wait till Christmas... it was a set of pans... he said he thought I might need an extra pan when I was cooking the Christmas lunch (I already had a ‘spare’ pan)...
And the year that he gave me a pile (16 or 17) nicely wrapped pressies... problem is they were all chocolate, boxes, bars and selection boxes, nothing else... none of which were my favourite and he ate the majority...
And the extra large tin of family talc which smelled awful that my mum bought me... or the pair of huge fluffy slippers that I couldn’t wear cos every time I did the cat ambushed me and kept attacking them...

My worst was a secret Santa present of an extremely poorly made thin horrible Xmas jumper and more suited to a male recipient. My best friend and I had a good laugh about it and the next year she was my secret Santa and put in a present of a massive oversized gaudy Xmas T-shirt and jumper to see my reaction. All we could do was laugh but she did hand me a lovely gift after that.
