We have a light projector in the garden and will alternate the slides it it; I think there's about 10 different Christmas ones. I have an enormous inflatable Father Christmas too who gets switched on as long as it's not too windy! We used to put lights in a tree, but had to have that cut down when we had an extension a few years ago. We also have battery lights round the front windows. Love Christmas!

We have a Christmas door decoration from Walmart which I use unless I see a real wreath that takes my fancy. We have a small Christmas tree in a pot which I light up and we hang coloured lantern type lights from the gutters (this involves lights being passed through the bedroom windows on a broom handle.) Just thinking how it doesn't seem long since last broom handle day, time certainly flies as you get older!

We only have a door wreath, although I have lights around my bay window at the front which are visible from outside. I’ve seen beautiful outdoor decorations that I’d love, but after having pumpkins smashed (and stolen on another Halloween I'd worry that they'd be vandalised or stolen.

We live right beside the beach, with some very extreme weather in the winter - 60mph winds are a normality here. The only decoration I can put up is a wreath, well secured to the door at 3 points. I've tried lots of lights and trees etc over the years, and they have never lasted more than a week. If anyone has any suggestions for me, I would be happy to read them! I love a nicely decorated house.
