Sounds like a fantastic trip you have planned I did Boston and New York with Orlando in 2009 and loved both cities, hope to return at some point. That ark is definitely something! Hope you're able to stop for a look, though not sure i'd want to pay to go inside either!

Well, in 8 minutes, we will be in to single digits and the excitement in the house is palpable.

Mandie has carried out several test packs and is currently at 8.6kg, wondering what else she can pack as she is determined not to ‘see herself off’. She finishes work at Midday and is meeting us direct from work on the railway platform at Truro. ( we will already have embarked at Penryn Grand Central Station).
The Scrap book is ready (Mandie updates it most days whilst on vacation having done the prep in previous months).

Dan (16 yrs) is excited (on the inside only) and says that he will start packing next Wednesday morning... we catch the train at Midday, Wednesday.

Matt (13 yrs) has decided which military rucksack to take and will be subject to close scrutiny in order that he packs none of his Army Cadet stuff (he has more survival kit than Johnny Rambo).

I have 4 night shifts to do, before 5 days of prepping my home for the 3 and a half weeks away.

Toby the cat is seemingly oblivious to the fact that he has a forthcoming vacation of his own.. at the local cattery. Ignorance is bliss!

Just hoping that we have not forgotten anything. The travel folder has been checked and scrutinised at least a dozen times!

The travel folder!

This seems like a really good trip. I hope it all goes well for you all.
Some really interesting ideas as well such as staying on a boat in Boston, how unusual but lovely.
I last walked the Freedom Trail way back in 1978
The visit to see Bocks Car. Very few people know about that aircraft focusing more on the other more famous one.
Really impressed with your planning, well done.

Thank you, Mr Morrow. I always value your inputs on the DIBB and over the years they have helped me a great deal with my own plotting/planning.

Tell Mandie I would have let have the morning off, love all your planning material. As has been said Boston is a great walking city. The Freedom trail is good and the ‘ Tea Party’ is worth a visit. The T is the underground/ train system cheap clean @nd efficient

She is becoming a real aircraft anorak. She has dragged me to Smithsonian Airspace on the mall, Hazy centre at Dulles, Naval Aviation at Pensacola, USS Alabama memorial park, Castle AFB, San Diego Airspace, USS Midway, Vigna de Valle and now.. A 3 day diversion to the USAF Museum at Dayton.. to be honest, her obsession is all getting a bit much and I am fearful of being dragged onto USS Intrepid at NY.

She needs a therapist!
