Baseball - where best to sit?
I will be buying tickets to watch the Devil Rays but where would you recommend is best area to buy tickets for?
I've always opted for behind home plate but don't know if a side view might be better. What do you reckon? |

The pricing tells you what is considered the "best" which you'll know is behind home plate, with the seats lower-down the most expensive.
To be honest, with nearly 30,000 (of the 43,000) seats empty each game on average, you shouldn't have too much problem moving to different seats if you fancy it anyway! (PS they've not been called the Devil Rays for quite some time now!) |

Be wary of Groupon deals that offer seats in the bleachers, you have a very real chance of ending up sitting behind a foul pole.

for me,who has played the game back in 1980s and followed baseball as second only to footy, the "best" seats are ones immediately behind 3rd base and home plate, you get a much better insight as to what is going on,however if you "dont have a clue"so to speak,i would just sit anywhere,my choice ticets would probably much more in price, hope this makes sense, bondy.

If you can fit it in, try one of the Minor League games, one low price and sit where you find a seat and quite often free parking. We go to Daytona Tortugas at Jackie Robinson Field [our favourite field], Lakeland Tigers and Tampa Yankees. Much smaller stadiums, so closer to the action.
