They cancelled trams a while back, they run from Parkgate now, at least you are home now in the dry x

There is uproar on social media about it at minute, can't beleive they haven't cancelled, they weren't A list celebrities and singers so surely the fees weren't that high lol. The flooding in 2007 was shocking, my OHs house was under at least 6ft of water, as soon as we could sell it we bought a house on a hill, he's just rung to say he's on his way home from work early but can't move, he works at back of meadowhall x

I’ve just seen a video of the river up to the bridge at Meadowhall. I’m glad we changed our minds and didn’t go today.

Is it the lights switch on? (We're Horsforth). I'm not leaving the house again, got drenched taking youngest to school, drenched on the way to work, on the way back from work and again at school pick up.

It took me an hour and a half to get home from Manvers to Rawmarsh today 4 miles! I had to walk most of it and was like a drowned rat when I got in .
Memories of 2007 are still very clear in our area of the sheer amount of water and disruption it caused. We had the power go out for 24 hours in 2007 I hope it doesn't do that this time as its also quite cold!

Just thankful that we just had our roof done!

DH is in Leeds at the moment just hope he can get home safe.

Keep dry folks cos its gonna be this bad until 9am tomorrow.

Jane

That sounds a right trek Jane but at least you are home and dry now, OH on his way home from back of meadowhall where he works sent them home early, he's not budging in the car though its gridlocked round there.

My OH works at back of meadowhall between there and retail park they sent them home a while back and put flood procedure into place telling them if it carries on they won't be in tomorrow, he rang a bit back and not shifting its gridlocked around there. The low bridge at meadowhall looks scary doesn't it x
