My best friend has one, and my brother and SIL have one. They also both have a kettle...

My husband won't drink tea from them as they're not on a rolling boil

I have one and use it but skill use a kettle to make a pot of tea. I won’t replace it when it breaks a stick with a kettle

We've had a Quooker tap since they first came out years ago, would not be without it. Never use a kettle in fact we don't have one anymore

I’d be interested in one of these but don’t have a lot of knowledge about them. Is there a safety mechanism to stop children using it by mistake?

You cannot just turn the tap, with ours you have to push down and turn, a bit like the top on a medicine bottle

That’s great, I figured there must be but just wanted to check as my grandchildren are very adventurous 🙈

When I was working we had one in my section of the complex.
There were only 5 of us in that section and it was probably used more during working hours than a private house. Cost me a lot of money in repairs though.
In the end we just left it broken and got a kettle!

That's my view. Nice to have when it works. Like combi boilers, ice making fridges and cars with electronics.
